Goodyear is now offering customized leasing options for the CheckPoint drive-over reader that automatically inspects tire pressure and tread depth.
That, Goodyear says, makes CheckPoint more accessible to national account fleets through the U.S. and Canada.
When installed at the entrance to a fleet yard, the in-ground devices scan the trucks and alert maintenance teams about low pressure or worn treads.
Goodyear says the devices can slash the time to inspect a fleet’s tire depth and pressures by as much as 90%.
The CheckPoint devices already in service have inspected more than 1.5 million tires, and identified 126,000 potential issues.
