A Canada Post delivery truck was spotted with its rear door wide open on a Toronto highway.
A driver posted a photo on Monday, showing the back door of the Canada Post truck completely open, with packages and boxes clearly seen within.
The driver captioned their image with, “Bruh that’s why I ain’t get my sh*t from Canada Post smh…”
It is unclear exactly which Toronto highway the incident took place on.
“We are aware of this incident, have followed up internally, and can confirm that no items were lost,” Canada Post told Daily Hive in an email.
In May, the company said that delays in parcels would be seen for the “foreseeable future.”
Canada Post said it is delivering at record levels due to the pandemic.
“As Canadians continue to ramp up and diversify their online shopping, Canada Post is responding to unprecedented parcel volumes while maintaining important physical distancing measures in all our facilities,” it said in a May statement.
On May 19, Canada Post said it hit an all-time, one-day record with 2.1 million parcels delivered.
“That’s roughly three times the norm for this time of year. It’s not just the volumes that are causing challenges, the number of larger household items, like mini-fridges, patio furniture, and barbecues coming through our network have also increased,” Canada Post said at the time.
