U.S. CBP Announces Reopening of FAST Enrollment Centres

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced today that U.S. Free and Secure Trade (FAST) enrollment centres will be reopening on April 19, 2022. The full announcement from the agency can be found here.

Starting April 5, conditionally approved applicants may schedule interviews at U.S. NEXUS and U.S./Canada FAST enrollment centers in the United States on the Trusted Traveler portal. NEXUS and FAST enrollment centers in Canada remain closed until further notice. Applicants may enter the United States to complete their interview, but must meet all applicable travel requirements.

In the notice, CBP requests that applicants remain patient as they work through the current backlog and are asking that existing FAST members renew their membership applications online before the expiration date of their card to ensure they maintain FAST privileges and can schedule an interview at a later time.

CTA continues to work with the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) on addressing the backlog of FAST applicants and hope to have more information to share in the coming weeks.
