It came as a complete surprise to Steven Maez from Ohio, USA: At 2.30 p.m. on 26 July 2023, Bettina Haussmann, Director of the Mercedes-Benz Museum, welcomed him as the twelve millionth visitor to the Museum since its opening in 2006. Steven Maez came accompanied by Philip LaMonica from New York. For both it was their first visit to Stuttgart.

Since it opened its doors in 2006, the Mercedes-Benz Museum has always given a personal welcome to landmark visitors. In the past, they have come from China and New Zealand, as well as from the region. Last year, an entire school class from Reutlingen was welcomed as holders of the millionth-visitor ticket.
