Hamilton police say a 27-year-old man is dead after being struck by a truck on the Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway.
The man left his vehicle around 4 a.m. and was hit by the transport, which was heading west, according to a media release.
Police say the collision, which happened between the Upper James and Garth street exits, was not the fault of the truck driver. No other people were injured in the crash.
The Linc was closed in both directions between Garth and Upper James streets for several hours, but police tweeted shortly before 1:30 p.m. saying their investigation was wrapping up and the road should be reopened within the hour.
