First 72m Ruthmann for Canada

Canadian sales and rental company Up & Down Lifting Solution has taken delivery of the first 72 metre Ruthmann T 235A truck mounted platform in the country and placed an order for a second.

Based on Ruthmann’s T720, the T 235A has been modified for the North American market to meet ANSI and CSA standards. Mounted on a five axle Kenworth T 800 chassis, it features a five section main boom and a three section top boom/jib. Maximum platform capacity is 600kg and it can achieve an outreach of 36 metres with a 100kg capacity.

Its platform can be extended to 3.65 metres and features compressed air and electrical power outlets. It will be used to provide access to various applications such as wind turbines and communications towers as well as to carry out electrical transmission and building maintenance.

Based in Ayr, Ontario, Up & Down offers a range of mini, spider, RT and pick & carry cranes as well as truck mounted platforms.

The T 235A is based on the European T720 truck mount
