Overheated brakes are what caused a propane truck to catch fire on the Queensway Tuesday morning, Ottawa Fire Services said.
Crews arrived on scene near Bronson Avenue within minutes and quickly had the flames under control, the fire service said.
Traffic on the westbound Highway 417 was briefly blocked Tuesday morning after a the propane tanker caught fire shortly before 7:30 a.m.
The driver managed to move the vehicle to the roadside and all lanes had been reopened by about 9 a.m.
