Take the Setra across the German Fairytale Route

Stuttgart/Bad Wildungen. Bad Wildunger Kraftwagenverkehrs- und Wasserversorgungsgesellschaft (BKW) mbH has added five new Setra double-decker buses to its fleet. The S 531 DT will be used on behalf of the North Hessian Transport Association (NVV) on the 50-kilometer long bus route 500 from Bad Wildungen to Kassel. The three-axle vehicles are equipped with 85 seats and 14 standing spaces as well as a special-purpose area for wheelchairs and pushchairs and also have an electronic passenger counting system above the front and rear entrances on board. “Since many commuters and students use the route from Bad Wildungen to Kassel on a daily basis, the Setra double-decker buses with their high seating capacities were our first choice,” says BKW Managing Director Uwe Bonan.

These are the first vehicles to be delivered by Setra with a 1.38 meter wide double wing door in combination with a folding ramp. The double-decker buses with green, blue and white film look really great. As they are on a section of the German Fairytale Route, they have been decorated with motifs by Rapunzel and Mrs Holle.

BKW has over 100 years of tradition to look back on. In addition to carrying out regular trips, the North Hesse-based company also offers a versatile travel program that includes city tours, day trips, multi-day trips and adventure trips. The company is once again relying on vehicles from the Setra brand with two ComfortClass S 515 HD.
